Safety Considerations:
This was by far the best suicide awareness course I’ve come across in my years teaching- very practical, well delivered and incredibly relevant for schools.
Trainers were educated and eloquent in delivering their information…and were able to link it with the culture and colleagues of the school.
This is such an important conversation for us to be having in schools- I wish I had done this when I first started as a teacher 5 years ago. Will be recommending this course to all my colleagues.
LivingWorks ASIST is the oldest and most evidence-based suicide intervention training in the world. Trusted by professionals, approved by the World Health Organisation and learnable by anyone, LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is the only workshop of its kind. While I have completed some online training in mental health/suicide, I got so much more out of this 2 day course, and now feel more confident and prepared to help. Highly recommend ASIST for all teachers working in wellbeing roles!
LivingWorks ASIST has been the most significant and practical training I have ever completed for my job as an educator of young people.
My role at the school requires me to talk about suicide almost daily– this workshop was fantastic in providing a clear and practical model I can readily apply. The practice and small groups work made this the best, most practical PL I have ever done.

By funding staff members to become registered LivingWorks trainers, LivingWorks courses can then be delivered to staff, parents and students on an ongoing basis.
